One of your least worries when ever you apply for a job should be your competition.
Why?

There is nothing you can do about your competition. If you start worrying about them, you let that occupy a space in your brain that you should otherwise be using to work on making yourself the one candidate for the job.

And you know the funniest part? Every other candidate thinks the other is better. So how do you benefit from this chain of uncertainty among candidates?

Be the one who doesnt care about who else is invited to the party and you’d see a drastic change on how you perform during those interviews.

Key question I always ask myself is: what can I do to make myself that candidate they are looking for? I make this my main focus.
